Of the most common problems found with a building, the roof structure is one of the leaders in that category. A leaking roof is problem enough but it leads to damage of the underlying insulation, framing and ceiling, possibly above your bed where you sleep. It’s an expense and inconvenience we can all happily do without.
Your Structurally Sound report will include inspection of the roof from the outside as well as from the attic. Often, new roofing can conceal active problems which can only be discovered in the attic space. Previous leaks should not be a concern provided the cause and damage have been corrected.
